Property decisions are connected. Their evidence rarely is.

Public datasets can miss dams, tracks, buildings, and vegetation. Reactas keeps those sources alongside site observations and corrections, so incomplete records can be challenged rather than treated as ground truth. 03 / Current build

Built on a real Tasmanian property. Now becoming repeatable.

Reactas is being used on my own Tasmanian rural property and remains in active use there. It is now being shaped into a product others can use.

Its current tools supplied maps, analysis outputs, and structured data for a 40-page first-proof property resilience design package. The studio was used to get abstract ideas and text prose into visually engaging designs that are easy to consume by all stakeholders. This enabled design where no visual design skills previously existed.

04 / Founder grounding

Why I am building it

My background is systems engineering, not agronomy. I have spent more than 20 years building and operating complex digital systems across infrastructure, reliability, security, and assurance.

I also hold a Permaculture Design Certificate and have spent four years applying whole-property design on village-edge land in Tasmania. I am passionate about designing systems that don't just work well, but foster beauty and magic.

Reactas brings those practices together. It is decision support, not a claim to replace agronomic, ecological, or local expertise.

05 / Technical grounding

Under the surface

Python, GeoPandas, and Rasterio for geospatial processing; TypeScript, React, and MapLibre GL JS for interactive mapping; Pydantic for structured domain models.

Official Tasmanian spatial and climate datasets transform into a common property-scale model, which tests against observations and corrections from the site. Analysis looks for interactions across terrain, water, fire, climate, and production, keeping the evidence, assumptions, and uncertainty visible rather than collapsing them into a black-box answer.

Design work takes place in a rich, user-friendly UI, made for designers with no experience working with traditional CAD or landscape design tooling. Planning outputs can be exported as PDF, GeoJSON, and CSV.
